Cooperative Advisor (Medior) Agriterra in Indonesia
Job Description
The Cooperative Advisor (CA) works as a cooperative expert but can also be tasked
with the role of project lead.
As an expert, the CA works independently within a framework that he/she is trusted with
by the project lead. The CA works on behalf of the project lead, but also thinks about
project design and implementation, the policies and improvement suggestions. Within
these projects, the CA is to set up and implement advisory trajectories with a selected
group of client cooperatives and support with the implementation of multi-year targets
set, based on the assessment done. These assignments can vary from project
acquisition, set-up, assessment, to an expertise request. In giving technical support, the
CA can give advice or act as a trainer. The CA works stably on time and target, is able to
read and advise the client.
As part of their role, a CA can be tasked with the leadership of a small project (portfolio)
with a structural annual value below 200,000 Euro.
He/she has an operational role: executes plans, manages delivery, ensures timely
reporting, and coordinates.

Job Requirements

Preferably master’s degree in Agribusiness/ Finance/ Accounting or relevant fields

A minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience at international organization(s); experience supporting agricultural development projects/ agricultural supply chain

Understanding and experience in finance and accounting of Micro, Small, and Medium Entreprises (MSMEs)

Understanding and experience in project monitoring and evaluation is preferable.

Good oral and written communication skills are mandatory (English and other EU languages where relevant)

Good computer skills in MS-applications (MS Office).

Willing to travel (25-75% of your time will be on the field)
