Program Officer – Central Kalimantan Yayasan Tambuhak Sinta (YTS), a Kalimantan-based
foundation head-quartered in Palangka Raya, is striving to improve the quality
of governance and well-being in areas affected by mineral development
activities, and is working closely with communities, local government and
extractive companies to achieve this objective. In February 2017, YTS signed an MoU with USAID LESTARI
to implement a social forestry program in Gunung Mas district for two years,
until 2019. The project covers eight communities in Damang Batu Subdistrict,
and the Program Officer is expected to spend approximately three weeks per
month in these villages. THIS POSITION For this position we are looking for a dedicated field
person experienced in working with ethnic communities in remote areas. S/He
will coordinate and implement YTS community development programs and activities
in villages, especially in Damang Batu for the USAID-LESTARI project. RESPONSIBILITY1.  Ensure the smooth, timely and proper implementation of the
field programs and activities under the YTS – USAID LESTARI project frame2.  
Assist
with community-based participatory planning and action3.  
Facilitate village government and community to
implement their respective programs and
activities:–      
assist with village development planning and
implementation–      
assist
and facilitate formation and legalization (if required) of community-based
organizations,
including Livelihood
Interest Groups–      
facilitate
community access to technical support and material resources–      
help
prepare information and training materials–      
assist
with training activities4. Document, monitor and evaluate on-going activities and processes5.  
Facilitate
community involvement in Musrenbang process6.  
Support
and liaise with local government officials – village and sub district levels7.  
Logistical,
facilitation, and documentation support for YTS events8.  
Assist
in preparing proposals for funding9.  
Financial
and program activity reporting – monthly10.  Other duties as required
