Junior Cooperative Advisor for Agriterra – Palmstep Project
Job Description
The Junior Cooperative Advisor will support Agriterra Indonesia in the implementation of
cooperative development programmes, with a primary focus on the PALMSTEP (Palm Oil
Sustainability & Traceability Enhancement Programme). The role will contribute to
monitoring project progress, managing and analysing data, tracking results against agreed
indicators and targets, documenting lessons learned, and preparing high-quality project
and donor reports. The position will work closely with Agriterra’s Cooperative Advisors,
project team members, consultants, and partner cooperatives to ensure that field-level
activities are properly captured and translated into clear evidence of project results.
Beyond monitoring and reporting, the Junior Cooperative Advisor wil also support broader
cooperative development activities, including field visits, training, assessments, stakeholder
coordination, and engagement with cooperative boards, management, farmer members,
government institutions, and other partners. The role is suitable for an early-career
professional who is analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in Monitoring, Evaluation and
Learning (MEL), sustainable agriculture, smalholder development, and cooperative
strengthening. The position wi l be based in Agriterra’s Bandung Office, with travel to project
locations as required.

Job Requirements
General Professional Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in international development,
project management, monitoring and evaluation, research, agriculture, cooperative
development, sustainability, or related fields. - Experience supporting Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities, including
data colection, verification, analysis, indicator tracking, and results monitoring. - Experience preparing project reports, activity reports, management updates, donor
reports, presentations, and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies,
Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Environmental Studies, Statistics, Public Policy, Social
Sciences, or another relevant discipline.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to colect, validate, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative project data.
Ability to translate project information and field findings into concise, structured, and
high-quality reports. - Strong ability to identify trends, gaps, risks, lessons learned, and practical
recommendations. - Strong attention to accuracy, consistency, documentation, and proper management of
project evidence. - Ability to manage multiple assignments, folow up on action points, and work effectively
against deadlines. - Ability to identify implementation chalenges and propose practical and realistic solutions.
Requirements:
Position is Bandung-based, with an expectation of regular travel in Kotawaringin Barat,
Central Kalimantan.
