IIEF (www.iief.or.id) is an Indonesian foundation (Yayasan) with more than 40 years of experience managing various in-country and international scholarship and training programs on behalf of various donor institutions. IIEF develops its expertise in four core areas, i.e.: (i) Scholarship Management, (ii) Capacity Development Initiatives (e.g.: leadership, university partnership, internship, entrepreneurship, NGO capacity building, etc.), (iii) Services to Education, and (iv) Testing and Certification.

IIEF is the sole representative of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Indonesia, and we are responsible for administering TOEFL ITP® tests nationwide. Since 2023, IIEF has also managed the TOEFL® Lounge, a dedicated information and service center for prospective TOEFL test takers in Indonesia. This initiative ensures that the public has access to accurate and comprehensive information about the TOEFL®.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will focus on two main areas of responsibility, which are:

  • Implementing a scholarship program aiming to equip Indonesian young professionals with career-ready skills, communication language enhancement, and professional development activities; and

(ii) developing, designing, and implementing new initiatives leading to revenue-generating streams focusing on teacher training, English language courses, and overseas university representation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide day-to-day implementation of a scholarship programs for professional enhancement conducted in partnership with institutions/universities in some cities in Indonesia;
  • Plan and implement all phases of the activities of the program, which include: student and teacher outreach and recruitment, course development, mentoring activities, etc. in accordance with sponsor requirements;
  • Manage communication and collaboration with all related stakeholders, including schools, teachers, students, universities, government agencies, local industry, business owners, etc.;
  • Ensure all program activities are conducted in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with program grants and approved budget parameters;
  • Ensure the timely submission of all required reports and deliverables;
  • Develop and build solid system and foundation necessary to create training programs and courses in English language learning, including developing teachers, conducting teacher training programs and developing courses;
  • Monitor education-sector trends and map new opportunities (new international campuses, study abroad trends, etc.) to create potential revenue-generating activities;
  • Manage communication and collaboration with schools, teachers, educational institutions, government agencies, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor program work plans, schedules, and activity reports. Monitor education-sector trends and map new opportunities (new campuses, policy changes, compliance drivers, competitor moves)

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have English language proficiency as proven by a TOEFL ITP certificate of at least 500.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program management, education programs, scholarship programs, English language training, teacher development initiatives, or international education agents.
  • Strong understanding of education sector programs, particularly English language education. Experience in international education and study abroad will be an added value.
  • Experience in managing programs in different regions across Indonesia, especially remote and eastern parts of Indonesia. (This position requires extensive travels).
  • Vast network in various types of stakeholders, including: teacher forums, university officers, educational network, language courses and institutions, local governments, small business and local industry, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing partnerships.
  • Have experience in International and multicultural collaboration
