Project Specialist Support Consultant on Community Program & Strategic Information

Job Description

UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, is an innovative joint venture of the United Nations system, bringing together the efforts and resources of ten UN system organizations in the AIDS response to help the world prevent new HIV infections, care for people living with HIV, and mitigate the impact of the epidemic. These organizations, called “UNAIDS Cosponsors” are UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, UNFPA, UNODC, UN Women, ILO, UNESCO, WHO and the World Bank.

Scope of Work
The consultant’s scope of work would include the following:
• Provide programmatic and budgetary planning, monitoring and administration support to the project managed under Strategic Information, HIV Prevention, Testing & Treatment and Community-led Programming with support from USAID-PEPFAR and DFAT. This also entails:
o Programmatic project support to the team in the preparation of programme work plans, budgets planning, and assistance with the monitoring and measurement of project progress and preparing project reports as required, ensuring accurate compliance to PEPFAR-USAID, DFAT under UCO and UNJT workplan.
o Administrative project support to hosting activities/meetings including organize meetings/appointments, development of terms of referencen and agenda, minutes taking, and the sending out of invitations managed under under Strategic Information, HIV Prevention, Testing & Treatment and Community-led Programming. This also includes support in managing project’s calendar and meeting schedules and monitoring follow-up of action items from relevant project meetings

• Provide grant management support to the project managed under Strategic Information, HIV Prevention, Testing & Treatment and Community-led Programming with support from USAID-PEPFAR and DFAT. This also entails:
o Programmatic project support to implementing partners on guidance to implementation of projects ensuring accurate completion and full compliance with rules and regulations of UNAIDS and donors (PEPFAR-USAID and DFAT) implemented under the UNJT workplan.
o Administrative project support for the preparation and management of implementation partners’ terms of references, contracts and agreements; including in tracking and monitoring of project implementation; keeping and updating project databases related to IPOs contracts, including the submission of completed technical and financial reports from implementing partners

Key Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines, such as in social science, public health, or international development.

Knowledge and Experience:
• At least 5 years of demonstrated interest or related professional work experience in the health programme within international development partners, experience working on HIV response would be preferred
• Previous work/exposure experience working with government, non-government organizations, and/or the UN system would be considered an advantage.

Languages: Essential: Bahasa Indonesia and advanced knowledge of English.
