International seeks local national Country Directors (CDs) for an anticipated
five-year USAID-funded sustainable landscapes activity in Southeast Asia. The
project’s objective is to catalyze private sector finance to upscale and drive
investments in agriculture, forestry, and other land use toward low emission,
profitable business models. This position will be based in Jakarta and will
report to the Chief of Party (COP) based in Bangkok.
The
Country Director (CD) is responsible for:
- The technical
oversight in assigned country - Timely delivery
and quality of technical deliverables - Timely
development of coordinated, standardized work plans - Coordination with
the COP and other CDs in the design and implementation of activities - Developing and
implementing knowledge management and learning activities for effective
country-to-country learning and knowledge dissemination within the project’s
overall knowledge management strategy
Qualifications:
- Advanced
degree desirable in Environmental Policy, Natural Resource Management,
Economics, Business or related field - Minimum
10-years professional experience in sustainable landscapes, natural resource
management, private sector development, and/or related experience - Minimum
5-years professional experience in the Indonesia, and extensive knowledge of Indonesianenvironmental policy, law, economics, investment financing, and/or public
private partnerships preferred - Demonstrated
experience in a position of supervisory responsibility on a USAID or
international donor-funded project - Experience
building institutional capacity of counterparts at national or local level - Ability
to supervise teams to achieve contractual objectives - Excellent
written and oral communication - Fluency
in English required and proficiency of language of assigned country
